Only three drivers managed to get under the 46” mark during Wednesday and Thursday on the Lonato track for the FIA Karting World Championship tests – KZ: Marijns Kremers (Birel ART / TM), Adrien Renaudin (Sodi / TM) and Alessandro Irlando (Birel ART / TM) set times between 45”935 and 45”991. Francesco Celenta (Praga / Iame) was remarkably consistent among the fastest, while Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART / TM), Anthony Abbasse (Sodi / TM) and Bas Lammers (Sodi / TM) were in the lead group ahead of Paolo De Conto (CRG / TM), Noah Milell (Tony Kart / Vortex), Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart / Vortex), Stan Pex (KR / Vortex) and Fabian Federer (Maranello / TM).
On Friday, Renaudin posted the fastest lap of official Free Practice with 45”900, against Irlando and Federer, the only three drivers to finish under 46”. Kremers, Lorenzo Camplese (Tony Kart / Vortex), Longhi, Puhakka, Matteo Vigano (Tony Kart / Vortex), and Bas Lammers (Sodi / TM) were also among the top performers.
